Ana Sophia Mifsud is a Forbes 30 under 30 awardee and a Senior Associate at the Rocky Moutain Institute (RMI). At RMI she works to accelerate the energy transition away from fossil fuels towards one that is clean, prosperous, and low-carbon across a variety of projects. Ana Sophia has worked on the energy transition in the Carribean including extensive work in Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rico, she has developed a variety of programs that promote resilience for Puerto Rico’s energy infrastructure including managing RMI’s Puerto Rico Renewable Microgrid Schools project — installing microgrids in 10 schools to improve electricity stability and ensure uninterrupted access to education for thousands of school-aged children in Puerto Rico. Furthermore, Ana Sophia worked on a variety of electric mobility initiatives, including an electric bus pilot in Bermuda and a feasibility study for the government of Saint Lucia’s vehicle fleet. Ana Sophia also has experience working on long term energy planning and building electrification.
