Dr. Gary Dorris has been a pioneer of innovative solutions for portfolio management and resource planning for over two decades with recent development to novelly optimize and value battery storage. His analytics insight has been sought to provide independent market assessments for over $5 billion on project financing and as an expert testimony on resource planning, portfolio management, and asset valuation. He has led the valuation of over three dozen storage projects and served as the lead expert for NorthWestern Energy, Public Service New Mexico, City of Glendale, and Hawaiian Electric in reshaping of their energy supply portfolios. His analytic vision to integrate the physical models of production costing with the financial models of energy markets has led to the development of over a dozen software applications used by over fifty energy companies. Dr. Dorris holds a Ph.D. in applied economics and finance from Cornell University and a BS in mechanical engineering and BA in economics with Magna Cum Laude distinction also from Cornell University.
