Doug Sherman

Douglas Sherman has been the Chief Commercial Officer of Perfect Power LLC since its inception in 2021. Perfect Power developed, constructed and operated three 10MW BESS Facilities on a merchant basis in West Texas and Doug was responsible for dispatching the units on a daily basis. In 2024, Doug was responsible for leading the financing (syndicated bank debt plus tax equity) for a 300MW fully tolled BESS facility in the ERCOT North Zone.  Doug continues to manage all commodity-related affairs, capital markets and acquisition activities. of Perfect Power. Doug also serves in a similar role for Microgrid Networks which focuses on VDER assets in NY ISO. Microgrid Networks and Perfect Power are both portfolio companies of SER Capital.

Prior to working within the BESS space, Doug worked in structured commodities origination at Freepoint Commodities (Stamford, CT) and Deutsche Bank (New York).  From 1992-2007, Doug was primarily a project finance banker and a loan origination officer at a variety of financial institutions such as Credit Lyonnais, ABB Project & Trade Finance, GE Capital and CSG Investments (Beal Bank).
