Shyam Srinivasan

Shyam Srinivasan is VP of BESS Software at Elysia, the battery intelligence arm of Fortescue. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Caltech and previously spent 10 years in the US and Asia designing and manufacturing batteries, power systems, and IoT devices at Apple, Nest, Google, and Snap.

From 2019-2025, Shyam was co-founder and CEO of Zitara, a grid-scale BESS controls software company acquired by Fortescue earlier this year. The acquisition positions Elysia as the clear market leader in battery intelligence, combining Zitara’s advanced edge-integrated BESS capabilities with Elysia’s market-leading cloud algorithms.
