
Emily Burlinghaus
Emily Burlinghaus is the director of energy storage manufacturing and supply chain at the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), where she manages the organization’s battery-relevant supply chain and trade policy work. Prior to joining SEIA, she was a senior climate advisor at the U.S. Department of Defense, where she worked on critical mineral security and battery standardization and interoperability, as well as a German Chancellor Fellow in Potsdam, Germany conducting research on battery supply chain sustainability.
She has worked to advance clean energy adoption and multilateral cooperation on energy security in a variety of research and advocacy roles, including as assistant director at the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center and director of policy and research at Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy.
