Nadim Kanan

Nadim is Vice President of Energy Storage at BrightNight Power, where he leads energy storage engineering across technical BESS procurement, offtake, and project execution. He brings over 16 years of experience in renewable energy and battery storage, with deep expertise in system design, performance, cost optimization, and commercial structuring.

Prior to BrightNight, Nadim held leadership roles at Avantus (formerly 8minute Solar Energy) and NEC Energy Solutions, where he led storage engineering, analytics, and product qualification programs, and supported the development of large-scale solar-plus-storage projects.

He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and is an inventor on 17 patents in energy storage and renewable integration technologies.
