Tara Desai

Tara Desai is a power and renewables-focused investment professional with 15+ years of experience in advisory and transaction execution across M&A and capital markets. As a Managing Director at Crux, Tara works with developers, manufacturers, and clean energy sponsors across solutions including structured/tax equity, debt raising, and tax credit monetization. Tara joined Crux in early 2024 after 5+ years at BMO Capital Markets, where she was a founding member of the US Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure group. Prior to BMO, Tara spent 8 years at J.P. Morgan, primarily in the Energy Investment Banking group, covering power generation, utilities, and broader energy infrastructure.

Tara has a B.A. in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University and is a CFA charterholder.
