Travis Torrey

Travis Torrey is the Chief Technology Officer for Storion Energy. In this role, he is leading the development of cost competitive, high quality flow battery components. His team has a focus on growing the U.S. manufacturing footprint and stabilizing the domestic supply chain to deliver products that keep pace with the industry’s explosive growth.

Prior to Storion Energy, Mr. Torrey spent 15 years in product and process engineering where his focus spanned the lead, lithium, and vanadium products for Stryten Energy. In his most recent role, he served as Director of Process Engineering at Stryten Energy, where he led the department across nine manufacturing locations and three development centers. The process engineering department’s focus areas were in manufacturing automation, capital project development and deployment, chemical reaction engineering, mechanical and tooling engineering, and laboratory services in support of the Stryten’s full product portfolio. Mr. Torrey was responsible for deploying a long-term strategy to improve the manufacturing process and developing the engineering team in support of upcoming industry changes.

Mr. Torrey holds a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt and received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
