Aniruddh Mohan
Dr. Mohan specializes in the evaluation of emerging energy technologies at a systems level, with expertise in electricity markets, techno-economic analysis, and energy policy. His most recent work focuses on the interconnection and resource adequacy challenges posed by large loads such as data centers. He has filed expert testimony to FERC on the expedited interconnection of co-located large load facilities with generation resources, including energy storage, and worked on improved bilateral capacity constructs for storage resources in PJM. A modeler by training, Dr. Mohan has expertise in optimization models, such as those used in capacity expansion, as well as agent-based modeling frameworks. He has drawn on these tools to publish research in peer-reviewed journals in fields such as electricity systems and the electrification of transportation. He holds a PhD in Engineering & Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and completed his undergraduate & masters degrees in mechanical & nuclear engineering respectively.
