Christopher Allen

Chris Allen runs Energy Hub Developments which brokers funding between UK and European funders and US renewable developers. Over the past two years Chris has exclusively built a 12Gwh battery storage pipeline for Gresham House Plc, the UK’s market leader in battery storage. Gresham completed its IPO on the London Stock Exchange and now has attracted over $1bn in funding. Chris is an experienced entrepreneur and previously founded a global utilities Headhunter Clearstream Global with Octopus Energy as an early client, an energy retailer Toto growing to 250,000 customers and a nationwide meter contractor Magnum Utilities with 180 engineers. Across a number of rounds of financing Chris was successful in raising over £28m of funding from Crius (Vistra) Energy and Forte Energy in New York and Glencore and BP in London as well as a number of high net worth investors. Chris has held senior executive positions at National Grid Energy System Market operator subsidiary Elexon and British Telecom.
