Pierrick Mindykowski

Dr. Pierrick Mindykowski is a Battery Fire Protection Engineering Consultant at Fike, specialising in fire safety and suppression systems for battery energy storage applications (BESS).

He holds a PhD in Fire Safety Engineering (2010) and has more than 15 years of combined experience in research, testing, and industrial fire protection.

Before joining Fike, Dr. Mindykowski held technical positions at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Leclanché (Switzerland), and Volvo Energy (Sweden), where he contributed to the development of advanced fire-safety strategies for lithium-ion batteries, energy storage systems, and electric vehicles.

At Fike, he focuses on the validation and optimization of fire suppression technologies, including the application of Fike Blue™, a new agent designed for thermal management and fire suppression in lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries. His work involves large-scale testing, failure analysis, and compliance assessments according to leading international standards.

Through his consulting activities, Dr. Mindykowski supports Fike’s global partners, including battery manufacturers, energy developers, and research institutions, in achieving safe, reliable, and regulation-compliant BESS installations worldwide.
