Eric Heintz

Eric J. Heintz is Managing Director of Renewable Energy Finance and Senior Vice President at M&T Bank.

As Managing Director of Renewable Energy Finance, he is responsible for the Bank’s renewable energy investments and strategy.

Mr. Heintz joined M&T Bank as an Executive Associate and Relationship Manager for M&T’s Greater Washington Region in June 2011 and was promoted to Vice President in June 2013.  He was subsequently promoted to Director and then Managing Director of Renewable Energy Finance in March 2018 and February 2021 respectively.  Mr. Heintz led the Bank’s Solar Tax Equity Initiative in 2014 and again in 2018 which ultimately culminated in the deployment of tax equity financing for renewable energy projects as a new M&T product.   Prior to M&T and business school, Mr. Heintz provided complex dispute resolution and case strategy services in support of litigation concerning the disposal of nuclear waste.
