Matthew Wapples

Matthew Wapples is a Director at Octopus Energy group, one of the most innovative energy companies in the world. After cementing his place as an energy expert in the United Kingdom working at E.on and Centrica he moved to Asia where he spent six year advising and implementing trading and risk management programs in Singapore, Japan, Thailand and South Korea. Since returning to the UK to join the Octopus Energy group he has helped grow the company geographically with their first international asset owner (Norsk Hydro), with sites in Canada, Germany and Sweden in 2022, along with working with transmission system operators Elia in Belgium and Germany.
